We are very happy that you found us! We warmly welcome you — and your anger!

 

Below, we would like to guide you through what you can and cannot find at Touché. Perhaps first, what not. We cannot or do not want to help you get rid of your anger. Nor do we aim to teach you how to deal with someone else’s irritability. We firmly believe in the potential, wishes, and desires of anger. So what can you come to us for? To discover what useful and beautiful things your anger has to tell you, what your optimal angry temperature might be and how you can tune your inner thermostat to it, how to engage in clean, constructive fights, …

We offer conversations, boxing trainings, stillness sessions, and creative activities, both in groups and individually. Feel free to choose for yourself what you would like to start with or what you would like to develop further. Below, you will find all the practical information for each of our activities so you can simply come and join. As far as we’re concerned, nothing more is needed than making a choice from the options below! No files, registration letters, or intake interviews are required.

 

Warm welcome! 

If you do need a little more support to make a smooth entrance with us, you are warmly welcome at our monthly welcome moment for new people. You can always find the upcoming moments here. You can simply drop by (at the Touché house, Kortrijksesteenweg 391 in Ghent) just before, right at, but preferably not too long after the starting time. Does being registered feel better for you? Conversations

Speaking positively and assertively about the desire hidden in your anger

Solution-focused talking about your anger offers hundreds of possibilities to give aggression a clean outlet: discovering the desire within your rage, translating frustrations into what you want instead, asking questions instead of tearing someone down, ... 

Anyone who feels they would benefit from solution-focused group conversations is welcome to join our conversation group from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, as often as feels right for you.

OUT OF THE BOKS

Boxing trainings

Unleashing your aggressive energy in a controlled and respectful way

You can come and punch it out during a boxing training. Learning to fight in order to fight less. Or by boxing, learning to better deal with difficult situations in real life. 

You’re welcome to let off some steam on Saturday afternoons at gym 9duust (De Meubelfabriek, Meibloemstraat 18 in Ghent), each time from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM

IN THE EYE OF THE STORM

Stillness sessions

Seeking calm within yourself and silently reconciling with your fury

Learning to deal constructively with your tension, frustrations, and anger by stepping fully into them — or out of them — in silence and with full attention. This helps you choose more consciously what to focus on and what to shield yourself from. By experimenting with different stillness exercises, you will discover which forms of silence are most useful for you.

Creating beauty out of anger or nourishing yourself with others’ creations

Anger is rarely neat, cleanly outlined, or easy to box in. That’s exactly why it moves and touches us. Working creatively with it can yield a lot of beauty. Just ask Banksy. Or Zwangere Guy.

From time to time, we organize a session or series in group to explore together what this might mean for you and/or to create something new together.

From time to time, we organize something quirky, an event, or a gathering. We surround these moments with the appropriate fanfare on social media, in our newsletter, and here on the website.

 

What about the money?

Everyone who wants to do something beautiful with their anger is warmly welcome. We offer group and individual options, with different rates, all according to the “Pay what you can and support others” principle. You choose how much you pay from three different rates: 

- in group €20, €15, or €10

- boxing in duo €40, €30, or €20

- individual €60, €50, or €40

In this way, we aim to make our activities accessible to everyone. Can you afford a higher price? Then you help ensure that others can pay less. This way, we not only build a positively aggressive family together, but we also become a group of solidary badasses, each contributing according to our own ability and desire, and making participation possible for others as well.
